Value Village Thrift Store does carry a fantastic variety of shirts, pants, and other clothing for various sizes and ages. They also sell diverse forms of furniture and offer discount cards that greatly reduce the price of their clothing that makes shopping there even more affordable.  I was able to easily get three polo shirts in my size for less than 18 dollars. Value Village Thrift Store is definitely a terrific store for reduced price clothing that is still wearable.

Eurasian Hotpot Noodles & Hotpot caught my husband's attention this past Friday and he encouraged me to go with him during lunchtime.  We shared the cheese asparagus and friend dumpling appetizers. I had the Grilled Shrimp Vermicelli while my husband had the Egg Noodle Roasted Pork& Shrimp. Our servers were courteous and attentive to our meal requests. The meals were also cooked decent and we were served our food within a well- orchestrated timeframe.

My husband and I spotted "Byblos Deli" this past Saturday as we were walking through the Cleveland Park neighborhood.  We both had the satisfying gyros that included beef and lamb from the skewer with pita bread, lettuce, onions, tomatoes, and tzatziki. I admit that I also enjoyed 2 of the rootbeers with my order and my husband also had two sodas (one of them being a tasty grape soda). My husband also had some of their rice and hummus. He shared some of the hummus with me (which was also pretty good).  The sandwich was so filling to the point that I had to ask my husband to finish my gyro for me.  "Byblos Deli" is a terrific place to eat at for superb Greek food at reasonable prices.

5.0 out of 5 stars Entourage InspirationAugust 12, 2013
Entourage: Cast & Creators Live At The Paley Center is a 48 minute documentary that interviews the cast on real-life inspirations behind their show. I was curious to watch this due to my interest in tying the show into how it relates to real-life public relations. The great thing about this documentary is that all of the people interviewed are highly down to earth and throw humor into what inspired them with the show. They are also respectful with their audience members as well. One of the main points I indirectly gleaned from the show was that part of the real-life inspiration for the show came from certain publicists. Entourage: Cast & Creators Live At The Paley Show is a suitable documentary to watch for those who are interested in the area of PR, enjoyed any of the Entourage episodes, and/or are looking forward to seeing the upcoming "Entourage move."

My Little Pony Friendship Is Magic: Season One

5.0 out of 5 stars Healing Effects of AlliancesAugust 12, 2013
"My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic" Season One television series opens with one of the ponies named Twilight Sparkle who is tasked to study the area of friendship by Princess Celestia of Ponyville. Twilight Sparkle initially wants to keep to herself, but quickly discovers how her life can joyfully be enriched, along with those around her, through the element of true friendship. Twilight Sparkle ends up meeting the following ponies who accompany her on various adventures: Applejack, Rarity, Fluttershy, Rainbow Dash, and Pinkie Pie. My favorite episode from season 1 of the series would have to definitely be part 2 episode 2 of "Friendship is Magic". "My Little Pony; Friendship Is Magic" is a good choice for those who like feel good type of cartoonish series.

5.0 out of 5 stars Off The Wall Adventures of Archer and CompanyAugust 12, 2013
My husband first introduced me to the Archer series back around late 2009/early 2010 when we were living in Orlando, Florida. He has watched Archer since season 1 and getting "Archer Season 4" was an easy choice towards continuing to follow the Archer series. The first episode of "Fugue and Riffs" is extremely comical for many of those who have watched any of the episodes of Bob's Burgers from Netflix. Episode 7 of "Live And Let Dine" was one of my husband's favorite episodes due to the voice feature of Anthony Bourdain (my husband has previously enjoyed Bourdain's work from his tv show on the travel channel). My favorite episode was the "Honeymooners" episode due to the zany antics of Cyril, Pam, and Cheryl spying on Archer and Lana. The following actors/actresses are listed to voice these characters: H. Jon Benjamin as Archer, Jessica Walker as Mallory Archer,Aisha Tyler as Lana Kane, Chris Parnell as Cyril Figgis, Judy Greer as Cheryl Tunt, Amber Nash as Pam Poovey, Lucky Yates as Krieger, Adam Reed as Ray Gilette, and George Coe as Woodhouse. The television series of "Archer Season 4" is a worthwhile choice for those who have liked any of the previous Archer series and/or animated comedy.

5.0 out of 5 stars Children Of PrivilegeAugust 12, 2013
I am fortunate to have found out about the "Children Of Paradise" film from the online recommendations of Amazon Canada. "Children Of Paradise" is a film set in France and shows a beautiful woman named Claire Garance Reine, who is romantically admired by at least four men. Garance appears to be passionately in love with a gifted mime named Baptiste. Garance's desire to exercise freedom in her personal life is indirectly shaped by the death of her mother as she was coming of age. The complicated twist to this situation is that a woman named Nathalie is also intensely in love with Baptiste. There is much more suspense and intrigue to this movie than what this summary lists. "Children of Paradise" is a superb choice for those who are curious about watching films that relate to life of citizens who worked in theater and how it ties into the indirect dealings of those who were part of the upper class culture. For instance, Garance ends up meeting a man who is one of her admirers and is part of the French aristocracy. This event is only one part of multiple incidents in the film on why the "Children of Paradise" metaphorically fits the movie's theme.

"Fly To Paradise" by Eric Whitacre features a various group of men and women singing together in harmony (with superb vocals). The lyrics appear to symbolize the beauty of soaring to new heights in various vistas of life. I admit that I first found out about this song thanks to the video being featured on one of my husband's online news feeds. Something about the video and/or the title resonated with me to watch it, and I gently coerced my husband into watching "Fly To Paradise" with me. We both watched the music video on youtube together and he noticed that the wings to the featured female appeared to grow larger as the song progressed. The music sounds like a carefully blended mashup of dub step, chillout, and electronica melodies, which complement both the lyrics and video perfectly. "Fly To Paradise" by Eric Whitacre is best for those who like electronica, chillout, and/or joyfully spirited theme songs.

"The World Is In My Hands" by Cascada is an uplifting song that appears to be about persisting and continuing to go after personal ambitions. I also like how Cascada is portrayed in a happy light for the youtube video and the lyrics contain a message of keeping dreams alive. "The World Is In My Hands" by Cascada is great for those who like her previous "Glorious" offering, cheery music, and/or electronic dance melodies.

5.0 out of 5 stars Canada Tourism MagAugust 12, 2013
"2013 Travel Guide To Canada Magazine" interested me due to the joint intent of both my husband and I to visit Canada from the timeframe between December 2014 and February 2015. I have the 2013 Travel Guide to Canada Magazine which includes among the following information:
Pages 36-37: Brief information on some of the parks to visit in Canada such as the Fortress of Louisbourg National Historic Site and Otentik. There is also a website listing for the park's resources.
Pages 38-42 "Try The Train" article title: An informative feature of the multiple train routes to partake in across Canada such as the Algoma Central Railway, and the Le Train Du Massif De Charlevoix.
Travel details on Ontario, Toronto, Montreal, New Brunswick, and Nova Scotia are covered. There is much more interesting coverage in this magazine and the "2013 Travel Guide To Canada" is a fitting choice for those who are interested in visiting Canada within the next 2 years and/or are curious about Canada's tourism offerings.

A Diamond in the Mind

5.0 out of 5 stars Concert GemAugust 12, 2013
I was highly interested in checking out "A Diamond In The Mind Live 2011" by Duran Duran dvd set due to my familiarity with some of their music collections and the fun I had after attending one of their exciting concerts back in 2011. The "A Diamond In The Mind Live 2011" is a two dvd set showcasing some of Duran Duran's classic hits in a concert format. The first disc features at least 19 of their songs that are performed live. There are many good songs in the live action portion, however "A View To A Kill" and "Ordinary World" are among my favorites in this musical edition. Tunes from the 2011 collection of "All You Need Is Now" such as "Safe" (In The Heat Of The Moment) and "Girl Panic" are also included in the live concert performances. Disc 2 features a 2011 documentary that showcases the camaraderie and closeness among the band-members. There are also the classic and satisfying hits songs of "Come Undone" and "Is There Something I Should Know" concert features within the bonus section of the second dvd. "A Diamond In The Mind Live 2011" dvd is fantastic for those who enjoy many of the 80's and 90's songs from Duran Duran and/or those who have enjoyed and/or attended any of the Duran Duran concerts.

Elysium (+UltraViolet Digital Copy)
DVD ~ Matt Damon
Elysium (+UltraViolet Digital Copy)

5.0 out of 5 stars Potential Society Living By Financial StandardsAugust 12, 2013
"Elysium" is a futuristic type of film that illustrates what could happen if members of the wealthiest income strata decided to create completely separate living regions from other socio-economic classes. I truly wish that I could say that what is depicted in "Elysium" will never happen on earth and that harmony and unity is going to reign supreme within the next 25 years at the latest. However, it looks like a more unified world may not come about until at least 250 years from now. Additionally, it is becoming even more easy for the top 1% to create their own communities due to the socio-economic and racial segregation that still exists in many middle socio-economic class and lower socio-economic class neighborhoods across America. There was an element of the immigration debate within the film. I have to confess that I am on the fence and undecided about the immigration issue because I would have to gather more information before making an informed decision on the still controversial matter. "Matt Damon" gave a compelling performance as a man who unexpectedly carries the responsibility of making the amenities of Elysium more accessible to a greater number of men and women. Jodie Foster also gives a brilliant performance as an abrasive and shrewd politician who wants to preserve the culture of "Elysium" at even the most extreme of costs. The following actors and actresses are also included in "Elysium": Diego Luna, Alice Braga,Sharlto Copley, Faran Tahir,Wagner Moura, William Fichtner, Brandon Auret, Josh Blacker, Emma Tremblay, Jose Cantillo, Adrian Holmes, Jared Keeso, Adrian Holmes, Jared Keeso, Carly Pope, and Ona Grauer. "Elysium" is great for those who are curious to watch futuristic "potential" type of films.
