Britney Jean [Explicit]

5.0 out of 5 stars Romantic Music With A Futuristic SlantDecember 3, 2013

This review is from: Britney Jean [Explicit] (MP3 Music)
Britney Jean by Britney Spears showcases Britney Spear’s musical talents through a relationship and seizing life type of sound lense. I enjoyed listening to her new release from this perspective due to also liking other songs that also touched on the romance angle such as And Then We Kiss,Break The Ice, If U Seek Amy, and Gasoline. She continues on this unique angle with catchy songs such as Alien, Work, Perfume, It Should Be Easy (feat. William), Tik Tik Boom (feat. T.I.), Body Ache, And Brightest Morning Star. However, personal favorites from Britney Jean are most likely going to be as diverse as those who listen to her music (including myself). Britney Jean by Britney Spears is great for those who enjoy listening to music with elements of synth-pop, eurodance, and electronica.

Buffett and Gates Go Back to SchoolDVD ~ Buffett & Gates-Go Back to School

Buffett and Gates Go Back to School

5.0 out of 5 stars Sampling of Perspectives From Buffett & GatesDecember 3, 2013

Buffett & Gates Go Back To School (PBS Home Video) is sponsored by the University of Nebraska foundation and features both men giving a candid and informative presentation. Additionally, I noticed that both of them took the time to inject humor in many of their questions raised by the University of Nebraska students. The following also includes tidbits about both men during the video:
Buffett has license plates that say thrifty.
A $1,000 Berkshire Investment In 1965 would be worth about $5.5 million today.
Buffett took a Dale Carnegie public speaking course in 1951.
Gates receives millions of e-mails per day. Most of it is spam.
Buffett still lives in the same house he bought in 1957 for $31,500.00 (thirty one thousand and five hundred U.S. dollars and zero cents).
Both Bill Gates and Warren Buffett have three children.
Please know that there is much more interesting tidbits and information that are packed into the dvd. Reluctantly, I admit that I’ve obviously only included a brief sampler, due to writing this in a rush (before getting ready for work). Buffett & Gates Go Back To School is great for those who like to watch inspirational and informative content.

An Angel for Every Day

5.0 out of 5 stars Divine Happiness For EveryDayDecember 3, 2013
This review is from: An Angel for Every Day (Hardcover)
An Angel For Every Day by Angela McGerr is a heartfelt and comforting book for those who do believe in at least the possibility of angelic helpers from the spirit realm. Spiritual helpers symbolizing self-belief, finding tranquility and serenity, security and cleansing away something from the past and/or present are some of the concerns touched upon in An Angel For Every Day by Angela McGerr.

Mickey's Christmas Carol 30th Anniversary - Special Edition (DVD + Digital Copy)

5.0 out of 5 stars Spiritual Self JudgementDecember 3, 2013
I confess that I spotted the Mickey’s Christmas Carol dvd during one of my work shifts at Walmart. Please also know that I do enjoy ordering products from amazon and plan to still do so. However, I went ahead and purchased the viewing of Mickey’s Christmas Carol from my company’s website as a show of support for being a Walmart employee. With that said, Mickey’s Christmas Carol revolves around an ambitious but stern character who is forced to see how his past actions have affected some of the other characters that he came into contact with. A part of him starts to show remorse when seeing how he hurt someone that loved him. Mickey’s Christmas Carol is a heartfelt family film that also includes the following bonuses: Mickey Mouse In Yodelberg, The Hockey Champ, Pluto’s Christmas Tree, The Art of Skiing, and Corn Chips.

My mother in law was kind enough to treat my husband and I to this Hyattsville, Maryland Ihop last night. My husband had the Colorado omelette with a pepsi, I had a Belgian waffle with vanilla cream, pecans, and banana with a side eggs, sausage, and bacon with Sprite. My mother in law had a crepe that contained chicken, spinach, and swiss cheese.  All of us were satisfied with the well cooked food and smiling service.

The Complete Encyclopedia of Angels: A Guide to 200 Celestial Beings to Help, Heal, and Assist You in Everyday Life

The Complete Encyclopedia of Angels: A Guide to 200 Celestial Beings to Help, Heal, and Assist You in Everyday Life
5.0 out of 5 stars Divine EncyclopediaDecember 7, 2013

The Complete Encyclopedia of Angels: A Guide To Celestial Beings To Help, Heal, And Assist You In Everyday Life by Susan Gregg is a one of a kind book that deals with calling on spiritual helpers for various life situation. One must have an open mind because the book draws from different cultures/spiritual paths and deities: Archangel Sariel from Judaism, Island, and Christianity (page 24), Isis from Egyptian culture (page 196), and Thoth from Egyptian culture (pages 276-277), plus many more. My only caveat with this book was that there was not a page specifically for an individual person’s higher self. My reasoning for this has to do with my own personal belief that an awareness and connection with the higher self is both a powerful and important supplement. Aside from that caveat, there is an index at the back and the book is both descriptive and evokes a sense of hope.

Tropico [Explicit] [+video]

Tropico [Explicit] [+video]

5.0 out of 5 stars Unique TropicoDecember 7, 2013

This review is from: Tropico [Explicit] [+video] (MP3 Music)
Tropico (Single + Video collection) showcases Lana Del Rey’s creative abilities and also stars Shaun Ross. The reasoning for the explicitness warning is due to the controversial nature of the Tropico film that accompanies this collection. For instance,a scene where the “businessmen” get entertained involve some unexpected circumstances from surprise guests. The song “Gods And Monsters” shows Lana Del Rey and her friend (played by Shaun Ross) hanging out with a group of people during what looks like a carefree summertime. My favorite scenes involve them both in the beginning in what looks like their personal paradise (due to the images of a unicorn, and sightings of Elvis Presley, John Wayne, and Marilyn Monroe). I also liked the scene towards the end where Lana Del Rey and her Shaun Ross are blissful and enjoying each other’s presence in what looks to be a bright sunny forest. However, there are various scenes packed in the “Tropico” film (around 27 minutes) to please many people. I am familiar with Lana Del Rey due to previously purchasing her brilliant Paradise music collection and her heartfelt rendition of “Young And Beautiful” from the Great Gatsby soundtrack. However, newcomers to her music would also benefit because included with the Tropico film is a mini music sampler of Gods & Monsters, Body Electric, and Bel Air.

I decided to eat at the University of Maryland's College Park (Stamp Student Union) food court this past Wednesday. Moby Dick House of Kabob was my place of choice, and my dish included some savory rice with walnuts and what my husband thought could be currants. Lamb and gyro meat were among some of the foods that I had with my meal (along with rootbeer to drink).  The rice and meat were satisfying. My only caveat was that the dessert item was too sweet for my taste. However, a guy in the table next to me was happy to have the dessert and was shocked that I would give it away (in all fairness I am a picky eater).  Aside from this, both the cashier and server were friendly and made me feel welcome

Not For Tourists Guide to Washington DC 2014

5.0 out of 5 stars For Both Locals And TouristsDecember 14, 2013
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)

"Not For Tourists Guide To Washington DC 2014" caught my focus due to my previous familiarity and purchase of the 2013 edition. I originally was thinking about leaving in the D.C. area due to the cost of living. However, I purchased this book after my husband and I made a firm decision to stick with living here permanently even with the high cost of living and even if we ever had to temporarily live somewhere else and come back to the D.C. area years later (due to the abundance of job opportunities within the Washington D.C. area both for those with a bachelor's degree or higher and even for those who do not yet have any type of college degrees). With that said, despite the title, "Not For Tourists Guide to Washington DC 2014" is actually good for tourists as well as residents of the Washington D.C. area due to some of the following information in this book:

Listings of restaurants, landmarks, and nightlife around various areas such as Dupont Circle/Adams Morgan, Logan Circle/U Street, Tenleytown/Friendship Heights, Bethesda, Cherrydale/Balston, and George Washington University.
Pages 205-207: Information on where to go for sailing, boating, rowing, golf, and hiking.
Pages 214-235: Extensive details on where to go for information on getting around within the D.C. area. It is common knowledge that the Washington D.C. area is one of the top places within the U.S. for public transportation (many places where owning a car is more or less optional).
Pages 246-247: Calendar of Events
Pages 261-275: Inclusion of a multitude of information pertaining to arts and entertainment within the Washington D.C. area.

The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug [Blu-ray]

5.0 out of 5 stars Facing SmaugDecember 14, 2013
The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug follows the return of Gandalf the Grey as he encourages Thorin Oakenshield to go on a certain mission that reconnects him to Bilbo and a strong group of dwarves. There is a certain artifact that Thorin must obtain (with assistance from others) in order to solidify the actuality of him becoming king. The main challenge is that this special item is also located in the abode of a magical and dangerous dragon. I would have to admit that my favorite actor portrayals from this film are Evangeline Lilly as Tauriel, Richard Armitage as Thorin Oakenshield, and Martin Freeman as Bilbo Baggins. This is because Lilly plays a powerful and skilled warrior who shows compassion for others and uses her gift in battle both fairly and to help others. Armitage does the tough challenge of making the best decisions while carefully considering the lives of those in his charge while Freeman crafts a superb depiction of someone taking certain actions for the greater good of others while refining his own journey. However, there is also talented acting from other actors in this film that are going to appeal to many men and women who enjoy fantasy type films such as this. I must avoid saying too much more out of consideration for those who have yet to see this movie. However, I feel guided to at least say that further information on The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug can be found on thehobbitdotcom website and features the return of Ian Mckellen and the inclusion of actors such as Orlando Bloom, Stephen Fry, Benedict Cumberbatch, and Lee Pace.
The Life You are Meant to Live: Healing the Past to Create Your Ideal Future

The Life You are Meant to Live: Healing the Past to Create Your Ideal Future

5.0 out of 5 stars Connection To Future SelfDecember 14, 2013
This review is from: The Life You are Meant to Live: Healing the Past to Create Your Ideal Future (Paperback)Create Your Perfect Future: Heal Your Past To Create The Life Of Your Dreams by Anne Jirsch with Anthea Courtenay contains information on ways to heal patterns and memories from the past and connect with the essence of a man or woman’s future self. For instance, on page 34 information is given pertaining to rewriting memories while pages 48-57 covers ways on strengthening the connection with your future self. There is also a discussion included in the book relating to the topic of when change is forced on you (page 150) and bridging past, present, and future lifetimes (pages 156-59). This book appealed to me due to the fact that there have been a number of things I would have done differently after May 2010 (just not before). This is due to the fact that I reluctantly confess that I now realize that I had an abundance of golden opportunities to most powerfully shape my life from May 2010 to May 2013. The positives: some of the actions I have taken have helped me secure my acceptance of my dream grad school and have contributed to why my marriage between my husband and I fortunately only gets better. With that said, there are an abundance of writings that I wish that I could take back on what I wrote both online as well as offline, as well as take back some of the things that I said (both online and offline). However, I let many of the things from my past stay online to chart and keep track of my spiritual and psychological progress. I intend to write down my progress from this book within 3-5 years from now (at the earliest) due to the time needed to assimilate and apply many of the exercises in this book. “Create Your Perfect Future: Heal Your Past To Create The Life Of Your Dreams” by Anne Jirsch with Anthea Courenay is great for those who are open to the idea of past, present, and future lifetimes.

Learning from the Future

5.0 out of 5 stars Future Self GlimpsesDecember 14, 2013
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)

Learning From The Future by Mary Hykel Hunt is a short book (102 pages) that touches on tapping into the potential probabilities that are projected into your future. My personal experience that leads me to believe in this possibility has to do with the fact that many of my dreams that made an appearance in my sleep have come and continue to do so in my waking life. I strongly believe that this is no accident and I am being shown these type of dreams in order to help me more strongly take steps to joyfully change my life (with aligned action) in the physical world. In the preface, the author makes it clear that she is focusing on ways to tune into multiple personal futures (due to one choice and/or action having a ripple effect on personal reality). Information is included such as how to know if what you are seeing is real, what to do if shown something that is different from what is initially visualized, and what to do if seeing the future is taking longer than expected (pages 46-47). There is also a listing of a select bibliography/further reading future at the end of the book (pages 101-102).

5.0 out of 5 stars Supernatural Horror Story Of A Twisted CovenDecember 14, 2013

American Horror Story: Coven caught my interest after a coworker at my job recommended this television series to me. Normally, I am not one to watch horror themed television, but I gave it a chance due to my coworker’s persuasive take on why the show is captivating. The show centers around the time periods of the 1800s and modern day as supernatural rivalries surface between witches such as the characters of Fiona Good, Myrtle Snow, Marie Laveau, and Misty Day. Despite her own hardened nature,Fiona has a daughter named Cordelia who she loves very much. Fiona and Cordelia end up becoming mentors to the young witches in training: Queenie,Zoe Benson, Madison Montgomery, and Nan. Fiona is doing her best to convince her daughter Cordelia to prepare her young protégés for the magical battles that are about to take place. Initially, Cordelia sees her mom more as a nuisance and just wants her to go away. For justified reasons, Fiona is also naturally suspicious of the motives involving her daughter’s husband. The protégés are far from shrieking violets themselves. I must refrain from explaining why for those who have yet to see the show, but the reasons for my analysis of the protégés are seen within the first four episodes. In modern day, witch Marie Laveau and Fiona Good end up having one of the most heated rivalries for certain reasons. This is what I am about to lead into. The other actors and actresses of this season contribute to the plot growth of American Horror Story: Coven in unexpected ways. However, I have to confess that my favorite characters from season 3 of American Horror Story: Coven are a tie between Jessica Lange’s Fiona Good character and Angela Bassett’s Marie Laveau character. I enjoyed Angela Bassett’s terrific portrayal as Marie Laveau because she powerfully held her own magic against forces of racism and being threatened with an old enemy. Angela Bassett’s Laveau character also has a magical gift of “summoning” what she requests to carry out her aims. Despite the sinister character nature, I also like Jessical Lange’s Fiona Good character due to the fact that she plays a woman who is not afraid to confront the evils of racism during the series and plays both a strong and resilient spirit. For instance, Lange convincingly plays a Fiona Good persona who is not afraid to tell Delphine LaLaurie that she got what was coming to her for her evil ways during the 1830’s as a blood thirsty socialite. Lange’s Fiona Good character also showed a brilliant complexity when making it clear that she will not tolerate racism and appropriately making La Laurie serve Queenie (after LaLaurie made some disparaging racial remarks to Queenie). I also saw the humanity in her when she got two of her protégés out of brief brushes with the law and came to the aid of a mother in a hospital. Last, but not least, showing the will to keep on going in life even as those around her try to indirectly drive her to suicide.

Gasoline And Matches by Leann Rimes, Robb Thomas, and Jeff Beck is a fun folk country/pop/rock song that appears to be about being around someone who makes you feel alive. The vocal collaboration between Leann Rimes and Robb Thomas fits perfectly with the online music video to the song. Gasoline And Matches by Leann Rimes, Robb Thomas, and Jeff Beck is great for those who like music mashup songs that combine folk country, blues, and pop.

52 Ways to Beat Depression Naturally

5.0 out of 5 stars Becoming HappierDecember 14, 2013
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)

I reluctantly confess that “52 Ways To Beat Depression Naturally” by Nicole McCance M.A., C. Psych, Assoc. caught my attention due to my own journey with healing my mild depression. I have actually been dealing with my depression since the fall of 2011 (around the time I was 31 years old), but I finally realized that I had mild depression around two months ago (around three weeks before I turned 33). I accidently came upon my discovery after unexpectedly receiving the good news of getting the job I have now. I actually felt better after becoming gainfully employed and realized that I was mildly depressed mainly from striving to find my professional/career place in life. Yes, I know that this is materialistic, but I am at least thankful to now be aware that my happiness/mild depression is mainly tied into securing my appropriate career/professional place in life. With that said, 52 Ways To Beat Depression Naturally by Nicole McCance M.A., Psych. Assoc contains among the following healing gems:
Pages 33-40- Tips To Shift Negative Thinking To Positive Thinking, listening to the positive voice, and ways of distracting oneself.
Exposure Therapy Journaling page 54,Letting Go of Guilt page 56, End of Day Reflection pages 64-65, Gratitude Exercise pages 70-71, physical exercise pages 102-103 and much more.
“52 Ways To Beat Depression Naturally” by Nicole McCance M.A., Psych Assoc is best for those dealing with mild to sometimes moderate depression.

How to Land a Top-Paying Federal Job: Your Complete Guide to Opportunities, Internships, Resumes and Cover Letters, Networking, Interviews, Salaries, Promotions, and More!

3.0 out of 5 stars More For Those Already EmployedDecember 14, 2013
I cheerfully purchased How To Land A Top Paying Federal Job by Lily Madeleine Whiteman at least over eight months ago with the feeling of believing that I would eventually get selected for a federal government job from my job experience of honorably serving in the military and successfully obtaining my bachelor’s degree within 3 years and 4 months. The following are some of the good points to this book:
Pages xv-xvi- myths about federal government jobs, pages 10-11: other sources of agency openings, and pages 255-260 (glossary terms).
Obviously, there is more to this book, but I reluctantly give it only three stars due to the fact that this book would mostly benefit those who have an unemployment gap of a year or less. I applied for government jobs both within the D.C. area some outside of the area. The good news is that many of them responded back and let me know that I did meet the qualifications for the job posted (especially some of the jobs that related to what I did during my 8.5 years in the United States Navy). The tough news is that these same replies let me know that I qualified, but that a different applicant was chosen. My husband did his best to cheer me up by mentioning that I at least heard back from many of them because he did not hear back at all from any of the government jobs that he tried for. At the minimum reason, I must keep How To Land A Top Paying Federal Job by Lily Whitman for my husband due to the fact that he is currently unemployed and being gainfully employed would obviously help his self- esteem.

The Very Best Of Fleetwood Mac (2CD)

5.0 out of 5 stars Classic Rock/ Soft Rock MeldsDecember 14, 2013

I previously purchased this collection of The Very Best of Fleetwood Mac is a two disc set back in the August of 2008 as a gift for my mother in law. Truthfully, I was only taking a wild guess that she would like The Very Best of Fleetwood Mac due to previously noticing that she liked to listen to a lot of country music. Fortunately, my guess turned out to be correct and she let me know that I was correct in guessing that she would enjoy this cd. Luckily, I had the chance to eventually obtain The Very Best of Fleetwood Mac collection for myself and must say that the soft rock music goes with many of the lyrics to the songs. I personally enjoy Everywhere, Gypsy Woman, and You Make Loving Fun the most within this two cd collection. However, there are various styles of soft rock/classic rock music to appeal to various listeners on The Very Best of Fleetwood Mac.

This review is from: Seether: 2002-2013 (Audio CD)
Seether: 2002-2013 is a two disc set with 15 rock songs on the first cd and 12 rock songs on the second cd. I am familiar with some of the music from Seether due to first hearing some of their songs on the radio such as Remedy and Broken (around 2005). I also had a chance to catch a fun live performance from Seether when they opened as one of the musical acts of an exciting Nickelback concert that I attended back in April 2012. There are many satisfying songs for various rock music lovers within this collection containing superb vocals and quality guitar riffs. My personal favorites from the two disc set are: Rise Above This, Country Song, Tonight, Careless Whisper, Gasoline, and Seether.

The Wolverine

5.0 out of 5 stars Wolverine In LoveDecember 14, 2013
This review is from: The Wolverine (DVD)
My husband really wanted to check out The Wolverine due to being a big fan of the Wolverine films. We checked it out together and I noticed that this good film centers around the Wolverine character (played by Hugh Jackman) striking up an expected frienship bond with an attractive but skilled fighter female and a beautiful but vulnerable woman years after saving the life of a soldier in Japan during the second World War. The Wolverine reunites with the man in Japan years later to say goodbye as he is also asked to look after his granddaughter. There is much more to this film, but I must refrain from saying more for those who haven’t yet seen the 2013 Wolverine film. However, The Wolverine is perfect for the person on your life who is a big fan of the Wolverine story (my husband greatly enjoyed the plot development and acting in this film).

I only found out about the gem that is Taqueria El Mexicano in Hyattsville, Maryland after talking a walk with my husband one autumn day. During my recent trip to Taqueria El Mexicano, I was courteously greeted by a twenty something cashier that patiently answered some questions I had about some of their menu items.  There are  posted photos of much of the food items to help in selecting the food.  I had  scrumptious and zesty  servings of three carne asada tacos with delicious orangish red sauce and delectable tomatillio and tomato and cilantro blend sauces. The cashier was both kind and helpful and made my husband and I feel welcome to return to eat here in the future.

The good points to Sticky Fingers Sweets & Eats:
The good points/the pros at Sticky Fingers Sweets & Eats (in Columbia Heights neighborhood of Washington D.C.):The cashier was cordial and served the treat I ordered very quickly. The serving of cake mixed in with vanilla custard was a decent helping for the reasonable price. I was only able to finish half of the vanilla cake with the vanilla custard due to the generous serving size in relation to the price.
The caveats: The vanilla cake could have been a little more moist, but the taste was at least saved by the tasty vanilla custard.
However, I am mainly commenting on the sweet treat that I ordered, others may enjoy what they get more depending on the sweet treat they select.

Don Pollo in Hyattsville, Maryland has the following positives:
The food is served quickly and at cheap prices. Additionally, the customer service was good and the cashier seemed concerned in making sure that our order was served correctly and the music played was a pretty good mix. The chicken lime soup with lime and cilantro tasted pretty decent.
The caveats: The chicken skin that I got with my meat tasted fine, but I only wish that the chicken was cooked a little more to my liking (there was slightly too much redness to it).  I tried some fried plaintains with the meat and mac and cheese but the mac and cheese did not compare to what I can buy from a grocery store and the plaintains were too soft in consistency. In their defense, it does take a lot to get me to really like the food so there may be others who greatly love this place.

The Wolf Of Wall Street

5.0 out of 5 stars Unique And Excellent Music For The Wolf of Wall Street MovieDecember 21, 2013
Due to a tight personal schedule this upcoming week, I reluctantly postpone seeing the Wolf of Wall Street but plan to do so by the time it is released as a rental and/or dvd release. I say reluctantly because I actually wanted to see what looks to be a brilliant film. On the plus side, this Wolf of Wall Street soundtrack is a satisfying consolation due to the great range of musicians representing the rock and jazz music genres. Movin Out (Anthony’s Song) by Billy Joel, C’est Si Bon by Eartha Kitt, Double Dutch by Malcolm McLaren, Meth Lab Zoso Sticker by 7Horse,Mrs. Robinson by the Lemonheads, and Cast Your Fate To The Wind by Allen Touissant are some of the multiple songs from this soundtrack that caught my attention. However, there are also more enjoyable songs on this collection by various artists to like for those who like to listen to an eclectic range of music, those who listen to jazz and/or rock, and/or those who plan on seeing the upcoming release of the Wolf of Wall Street.Saving Mr. Banks DVD ~ Emma Thompson

Saving Mr. Banks

5.0 out of 5 stars Parental Influence
December 21, 2013

This review is from: Saving Mr. Banks (DVD)
Saving Mr. Banks is a film that carefully centers around Walt Disney’s initial challenge in convincing the author of Mary Poppins (Pamela Travers) to hand over the concept of what Mary Poppins stands for. The movie includes scenes that flash back to how her viewpoints were shaped during her childhood years in Australia and the relationship with her parents. Each of the actors and actresses contributed to the shaping of the movie’s depiction that captured Walt Disney’s interactions with Pamela Travers (Both Colin Farrell and Paul Giamatti are also featured in Saving Mr. Banks). However, I admit that I enjoyed watching Emma Thompsons gifted portrayal of a woman who initially seems snobbish when it comes to her interactions with both Disney and the other cast members. However, Emma Thompson carefully puts forth great intensity (through her emotions) in helping the viewing audience understand the root reasons behind her distant nature. I also enjoyed Tom Hanks favorable impression of Disney because he used his acting skills to portray a man who tactfully found a way to help the author understand why she had reservations in sharing the book. It was also heartfelt that Hanks played a character who cared very much about keeping a past promise to his children. Both Walt Disney and the workers initially get the cold treatment by Pamela Travers. Obviously, I must refrain from sharing more to keep in mind other film goers who have yet to see Saving Mr. Banks.

Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)

Fortunately, I had the chance to purchase Twenty Years-Ministry of Sound for just $4.95 (U.S. Currency). This collection was very much worth it to me because of the exciting assortment of dance pop and ambient/trance music songs by various artists within this collection. Soul Heaven by The Goodfellas, Believe by Ministers De-La-Funk feat. Jocelyn Brown, Dreaming of You by Thrillseekers, and Drifting Away by Lange feat. Skye are some of my favorite songs on this edition of Twenty Years-Ministry of Sound. However, there are a mix of songs for many men and woman who like a mix of past dance and club music ranging from artists such as "Fly Life" by Basement Jaxx, Everytime by Lustral, Everyday by Agnelli & Nelson, and Love Simulation by Humate. There are also classics on this collection such as On The Beach by York, Sandstorm by Darude, and Universal Nation by Push.

Initially, I was hesitant in going back to this Hyattsville Outback due to a prior experience that my husband and I had at this restaurant over a year ago. However, I decided to give my memories of this place another chance due to wanting to catch some dinner to eat at the last moment (prior to going to a movie). Fortunately, this visit turned out much better for my husband and I.  Our assigned waiter was polite to both of us and correctly served what we ordered in a faster than expected timeframe.  My husband and I shared the Aussie fries. I ordered a meal that included the six ounce sirloin, coconut shrimp, sweet potato (with brown sugar and butter) and salad. My husband had what looked like some type of pork chops with mashed potatoes.

My most recent visit to Flip It Bakery in the Georgia Avenue neighborhood was the first for my husband and I.  He got the biscuits and gravy breakfast and seemed to enjoy it. Meanwhile, I ordered an omelette (the toppings I do remember: mushrooms, sausage, cheddar cheese) with toast and potatoes. The mango tea that I had with my breakfast was pretty good and my husband said that the biscuits and gravy that he ordered were tasty.  Additionally, the cashier was nice to both of us and served our food in a quick timeframe.

5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect Taste For Those With Restricted Time To CookDecember 25, 2013

Campbell’s Chunky Baked Potato With Cheddar & Bacon Bits caught my attention because I was looking for a great tasting soup that is complements sandwiches and quick to make. Fortunately, this soup met my expectations and the flavor is enhanced with certain seasons (I added basil and garlic pepper to mine). Campbell’s Chunky Baked Potato With Cheddar & Bacon Bits is also convenient because you can also have it quickly ready in either the stove or the microwave (within 2-3 minutes).Greatest Hits

5.0 out of 5 stars Lenny Kravitz’s Musical Take On Relationships
December 25, 2013

This review is from: Greatest Hits (Audio CD)
I admit that I decided to purchase Lenny Kravitz’s Greatest Hits cd after unexpectedly finding it in the cd section at my job (after my work shift was over). I was first exposed to Lenny Kravitz’s music as a teenager of the 90’s when it was either MTVand/ or VH1 that played “Are You Gonna Go My Way”. Additionally, one of the rock radio stations that I listened to played his music frequently. There are fifteen pleasant and high energy songs on this cd such as “Are You Gonna Go My Way”, “Fly Away”, “American Woman”, “It Ain’t Over Till It’s Over”, “Again” and “I Belong To You”. This is a perfect collection for those who like 90’s/early 2000’s alternative/hard rock.Curtain Call: The Hits

This review is from: Curtain Call: The Hits (Audio CD)
I confess that I decided to purchase Eminem Curtain Call-The Hits after spotting the cd at my Walmart job. I had previously enjoyed Eminem’s 2010 Recovery cd back in 2011 and figured that this greatest hits by Eminem collection would be a perfect music complement. There are fifteen tracks on this edition featuring two different versions of Stan (one featuring Dido and the other that includes a live version with Elton John). Thereare a good assortment of Eminem’s popular hits on Curtain Call such as My Name Is, The Way I Am, Without Me, Like Toy Soldiers, When I’m Gone etc. I admit that Lose Yourself is one of my favorites from this greatest hits collection based on the motivational message. This is also due to the positive/uplifting memories of hearing Lose Yourself after watching the Eight Mile movie (in Japan back around January 2003) with my husband (during our first official month together as boyfriend/girlfriend). Eminem Curtain Call-The Hits are a good collection for those who like any of Eminem’s songs.

The Map: To Our Responsive Universe, Where Dreams Really Do Come True!

5.0 out of 5 stars Spiritual Manifestation BlueprintDecember 25, 2013

The Map: To Our Responsive Universe-Where Dreams Really Do Come True by Boni Lonnsburry takes on the theme of achieving personal dreams through the perspective of a GPS to your soul. The following are some of the novel ideas in the book:
Discussion on antidotes for certain emotions such as the need to control one’s inner and outer world(pages 116-117), guilt (pages 123-124), and shame (pages 125-126).
Ways to work with and bring in harmony your child, adolescent, adult self, and “dark (negative) side (pages 126-145).
Page 169-How What Others Create Can Also Be a Sign Of A Man Or Woman’s personal belief system. For instance, the author gives an example of how what Mary and George see in the way their friends/family/acquaintances create their relationships and money are actually spiritual reflections of what they personally believe as well.
Pages 203-228-Ways To Channel Energy Toward personal dreams such as the “Make The Movie” real technique.
Pages 253-287: Ways To Tell when your dream is about to come true and much more insightful information.
Pages 273-274: How A Negative Sign can sometimes be a blessing in disguise.
Pages 355-357: Letter To Your Future Self and pages 359-360: Requests To Your Higher Self (a man or woman’s soul/spirit).

Writing Your Future: The Easy Way to Achieving Your Dreams

5.0 out of 5 stars Scripting Your Upcoming RealityDecember 25, 2013

Writing Your Future: The Easy Way to Achieving Your Dreams by Colleen O’ Neil focuses on ways to use writing as a way to solidify personal goals and there are upbeat suggestions woven into the book such as Write As If Its Already Happening (page 57) and 10 steps to transforming worry into resolve in order to stick with the writing rituals (pages 72-73). Five Minute Daily Routine for writing your future (page 117) was to me a healing balm for the soul, but of course there is much more unique and happy ideas for scripting in Writing Your Future by Colleen O’Neil.

5.0 out of 5 stars Consciously Shaping Your DestinyDecember 25, 2013

Directing Your Destiny: How To Become the Writer, Producer, and Director Of Your Dreams by Jennifer Grace (foreword by Serena Dyer, daughter of Wayne Dyer). Jennifer Grace creates some fun exercises that are inspired from her experience with the Screen Actors Guild and includes among the following:
Pages 21-30: Meditation in relation to life clarity and dealing with obstacles that could get in the way of meditation.
Pages 40-48: Morning and evening journal writings, writing as a tool to connect with the future self.
Pages 69-87: Changing belief systems and becoming aware of your “committee” (root of negative belief systems, which can also sometimes occasionally be based on the human critics in your life (a.k.a well- meaning acquaintances and/or family members).
Nonattachment: Cultivating Grace And Surrendering Your Dreams: Reluctantly, I confess that the non-attachment and surrendering part is definitely one of the areas that can sometimes be tricky for me.

The Wolf of Wall Street

The Wolf of Wall Street

5.0 out of 5 stars Days In The Life Of Jordan BelfortDecember 25, 2013
This review is from: The Wolf of Wall Street (DVD)
Initially, I originally thought that I was going to have to reluctantly postpone seeing The Wolf Of Wall Street for a few months due to the fact that it appeared to be unavailable in two of the theaters closest to where I live. This would have conflicted with my late night work schedule. Please know that I am thankful for my job, but was concerned that traveling too far would have conflicted with getting to work on time. Fortunately, I spontaneously felt guided to look again yesterday morning and observed the movie location and time listings updated to show in 2 movie theaters closest to my personal residence (which would luckily give me enough time before work). Luckily, I had the chance to see The Wolf of Wall Street this morning and it was very much worth giving up some of my sleep time to watch. The following are some of the reasons why: Leonardo Di Caprio is one of my top seven favorite actors and he gave a brilliant performance as a man by the name of Jordan Belfort who uses his talents to help his employees and himself successfully profit from the stock market. However, one of the harbingers pointing to what is about to happen to his schemes is shown through the clue of how he basically brags to some of his employees the ways that they have profited at the expense of their clients, without expressing at least a little remorse to how he can change things around. Additionally, a second clue is given when Belfort's father is shown going up to his son at work and warning him that what he is doing could create unintended results in his life. Margot Robbie also gives her best, as a beautiful wife who is also equally calculating in her own way and meets DiCaprio's Belfort character during a thriving peak of his life. Jonah Hill and Matthew McConaughey are among some of the famous actors included in the film. The film does show one of the men from the Wall Street industry who may have indirectly impacted his way of thinking in relation to dealing with clients. Additionally, the movie also showed how Belfort's notoriety caught the attention of Forbes magazine. I was familiar with some of the music played in the film due to purchasing the mp3 version of The Wolf of Wall Street Soundtrack. However, there were some good songs played in the movie that were not available on the soundtrack (such as by The Foo Fighters and Sir Mix-a-Lot). There are also many other actors and actresses in the film that are going to appeal to various men and women watching The Wolf of Wall Street. The Wolf of Wall Street is a great film to watch for those who are fans of the work of Leonardo DiCaprio, Jonah Hill, Matthew McConaughey, Margot Robbie and/or are curious about the life of stockbroker Jordan Belfort.

Wall Street Warriors Season 2

5.0 out of 5 stars 2008 Glimpse of Wall StreetDecember 25, 2013

“Wall Street Warriors Season 2” features the journey of various men and at least two women in this popular and controversial sector of the financial industry. Laetitia, one of the women featured, recently graduated from a prestigious university in New York. During the season, she is faced with the decision of taking a lucrative job offer in Paris or following her ambition to stay in New York. One of the other scenes displays some of the men calling up a client who has a net worth of 200 million dollars. Wall Street Warriors Season 2 is set around 2008 (before the Occupy Wall Street Movement) and is best for those who like to watch reality shows that are more on the informative side.

Popeyes Chicken and Biscuits

Category: Chicken Wings
5.0 star rating
 12/25/2013 First to Review
This Popeye's in the food court in Wheaton had a cashier who served my food to me quickly and in a friendly manner. I did not finish all of my food and saved some to take home later (I had a six piece chicken wing combo with a shrimp, Cajun fry, and tea drink combo).  I was only able to finish the wings at the food court and brought a gallon of tea home with me. Fortunately, my leftovers (including the tea) still tasted satisfying when I had them over 7-8 hours later.  Last, but not least, the food is actually delicious for the cheap/inexpensive price that the food sells for.
